Integral Flush Restrictor Bushing
Paradigm Advantage™ FlushControl+™
The FlushControl™ Bushing is an optional feature included with the seal.
When used, it is installed directly into the seal as part of the assembly and is designed to manage flush flow to the seal faces — improving lubrication, cooling, and overall seal performance.
When installed, the FlushControl™ Bushing helps reduce excess flush flow, minimizes dilution of the process fluid, conserves water, and improves reliability. It is especially beneficial in applications with flashing or near-flashing fluids, where maintaining proper lubrication and cooling is critical.
FlushControl+™ mounts directly over the seal sleeve without disassembly of the seal cartridge
FlushControl+™ is a close-clearance restrictor bushing installed in the seal cartridge between the flush port and the seal chamber (stuffing box). By restricting flow out of the seal chamber, it helps contain clean flush fluid around the seal faces while maintaining the velocity needed to prevent abrasive contaminants from entering.
This creates a cleaner, more controlled seal environment while significantly reducing the amount of flush fluid required—helping extend seal life, conserve water or other clean flush fluids, and reduce operating costs.
For fluids operating near their vapor point, FlushControl+™ can also help maintain pressure around the seal faces, reducing the potential for flashing and the resulting dry running that can damage the seal.
